Charix is a small independent brand based in Washington DC.

Charix was founded in 2015. Our founder is a third-generation manufacturer who merged the principles of craftsmanship, design, and innovation to make these classic shoes with a modern twist.

Charix are made exclusively at the Charix Atelier in Istanbul with love and care of our artisans. We produce in small batches one pair at a time.

We want you to feel proud of the shoes you wear, knowing they are sustainably made down to the last stitch. We are a small ethical company that cares equally for its people, customers, and the planet we all live on.

We are primary an online direct to consumer brand. We offer free shipping and easy returns to make your
shopping experience seamless. Our only retail store is in Washington DC, where we also ship our orders.

We ship directly from our own warehouse in Washington DC with a small team that personally attends to each order.

Yes, we offer free shipping within the US.

We will email you tracking information when your order has left our warehouse.

Free shipping typically arrives 5-8 business days. Expedited shipping typically arrives 3 business days.

Possibly. Please get in touch with us as soon as possible, and we will try our best to update your order. Please note canceled orders are subject to $4.50 credit card transaction fee.

There are two shipping options:
1) Free shipping, which typically arrives within 5-8 business days;
2) expedited shipping, which typically arrives within 3 business days.

We offer exchanges or returns within 30 days of order date. Exchanges and returns can be processed on our website. We will email you a prepaid shipping label. For details, click here.

Refunds are processed within 7 business days of receipt of the returned item(s).

Charix are true to size. You should pick your most common size in flats. Most customers find their correct size following our size guide.

Charix should fit snugly at first. It is OK if your toes touch the end with light pressure without curling. You can expect the soft natural leather to loosen up around the pressure areas after a few wears.

Charix are comfortable out of the box for most customers. For some, it may take a few wears for the natural leather to form to your feet.

We designed Charix to be worn without socks. If you prefer socks, we recommend thin socks. Charix are lined with soft natural leathers which makes wearing sock totally optional.

No need to be concerned about incorrect fit. Rest assured, our exchanges & returns are stress-free. You can process your exchange or returns directly on our website. Click here to start.

Our shoes are designed in medium-sized width that accommodates wider feet. We recommend you order half-size up if you have particularly wide feet.

If you have very narrow feet, unfortunately our medium size width will likely feel too loose for you.

Charix are avaliable in half size increments from US size 5 (Euro 5) to US size 14 (Euro 46).

Yes, Charix feature slightly elevated arch support and memory-foam insoles that provide moderate support. The insoles are removable in case you need to use your own arch insoles.

Our customers with bunions are pleasantly surprised with Charix. We designed the toe box with ample space while maintaining a slender look. Furthermore, Charix are made with soft, natural leathers that form
your unique shape.

We offer removable insoles as an option in case you need to use your custom orthotic insoles.

Charix are lined with soft geniene leathers, which are naturally anti-microbial for a fresh feel. We almost never receive feedback about feet sweating.

For the majority of our customers, our shoes feel comfortable out of the box. Our heels are padded, and we very rarely receive complaints about blisters. If you have sensitive skin, be rest assured that soft
leathers eventually break-in with wear.

Charix shoes are quite resilient to rain or getting wet. If your shoes ever get wet, you can simply wipe them off with cloth and leave them in the room to dry naturally.

Charix are made with non-slip rubber outsoles that so you feel safe and secure on any type of surface.
